i can has option plz?

Okay, so, I just finished reading Bone the other day. I absolutely love that comic (if you haven't read it, you must!) and what's more, I really really really want to option it. I'm sure it seems like it is out of my league, but I know I could do it, and do it well. Jeff Smith still holds the rights, so I am currently trying to get in touch with him about optioning the material. I hope I am not too late. We'll see what happens.

For a long time, I have debated whether or not to get a blog of my own. I had always thought blogs were like online journals, which I absolutely hate (Why WHY put your heart on the internet for anyone to see?). Now though, I think I am beginning to understand what blogs are about. 

My main reason for getting a blog of my own is to help my career. This blog will (hopefully) keep people up-to-date on my current projects and allow them to offer aid and advice (goodness knows I need it). In the future, it may serve as a forum for my rants (if I decide they are worth putting up). We shall see. 

Now, I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Stephanie and I am a film student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am passionate, amiable, and a natural leader. I aspire to be a writer/director/producer, but lately I have been leaning more toward producing. My first project is a secret at the moment, but if things go well in the next few weeks, you may hear more. I need to work on this whole writing-about-myself thing.
